Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, is known as Europe’s last divided capital. Turkish Cypriots living to the north from the UN buffer zone must cross the border traversing the old town in order to use their right to vote in the 2019 European elections. On Thursday 9 May, the French Institute of Public Opinion (Ifop) published the results of a survey commissioned by JEF-France (Les Jeunes Européens) and the National association of children’s and youth councils (ANACEJ), concerning young people and the European elections of May 2019. The survey that studies the electoral behaviour of young people shows that a part of voting-age young people in France are still undecided both on whether they will go to the urns on the 26th, and on what party to vote for.

Two weeks before the European elections, the European Parliament’s official This Time I’m Voting campaign is entering its last strokes. The flagship campaign video, called Choose Your Future, has become an exceptionally successful piece of EU communication in terms of viewership. As of now, the video has gained over 83 million views on Facebook, and another 33 million on YouTube.
