If you think the european parliament will bring the big change, how will you increase the participation in the elections of the EP ? How do you see the involvment of national parliaments ? In some member states the EP is not very highly considered. Think about the way how unfomfortable members of political parties are outsorced to Brussels and Strasbourg by their leaders.

His approach is rather interesting, not a Europe which remains the only economic model will be allowed to fail. However, it points out the importance the European Parliament can play in the revolution that this awareness calls.

Well, I have doubts about the insights of his approach. Sounds basically like an iteration of common sense. Other than that, I don´t see the threat to the European social democrat model at all. Delor´s Single European Act did not bring a radical liberal logic and the European Law has pretty much all the exception for the protection of social rights...
